Introduction
Lake Valhalla Club, located in Montville, NJ, is a private tennis
and swim country club. Membership is not limited to
Montville residents. In order to join the club, an application
must be filled out and returned to the main office. The
application will be reviewed by the membership committee and
finally approved by the Board of Directors.
Lake Valhalla Club is centered
around a serene 90 acre lake surrounded by forest and mountains.
On your visit, take advantage of the scenery, enjoy the attractive
grounds and tour the
facilities.
The Tudor style clubhouse, built
in the 1930's, features a dramatic ballroom available for member
functions and weddings. Within
the clubhouse, the dining room and the bar area are designed to
take full advantage of the lake view. A separate pavilion offers a
snack bar for casual dining during the summer months.
The professionally landscaped 40
acres of club property provide a spectacular setting for the
sports enthusiast. There are five Hard-Tru tennis courts,
two asphalt courts and two paddle tennis courts.
Softball and Volleyball players
enjoy a three season schedule. The rustic boathouse and
docks provide a quiet retreat for the sailors, and the playground
and picnic grove are the scenes of many childhood memories.
Lake Valhalla Club is a year
round facility. The spring season begins as soon as the
courts and fields are playable. Summer is welcomed with a
picnic in the grove and a carnival for the children. Summer
also presents a full range of activities, such as swimming from
the beach or docks, tennis tournaments and open play, and yacht
club races. For the children, there are swimming lessons and
tennis teams. And for their parents, an opportunity to relax
on the "green chairs" or enjoy a Sunday night barbecue
or dinner dance on the beach. The fall brings Monday Night
Football, the softball playoffs and volleyball. Besides
skating, ice fishing, and paddle tennis in the winter, enjoy
dinner by the fire and holiday and social events.
We invite you to join us at the
Lake Valhalla Club to experience our fine facilities and friendly
atmosphere. To schedule a tour, or request an application,
